One of my joke inspired Derek to make a joke that has the same concept. =)

My joke: One of my grandma's friend just immigrated to United States but when you come to United States you need to take a citizenship test that would prove that you are a really American citizen. So they asked my grandma's friend some question, "On what date is it the birthday of United State?" As every American should know it is July 4th. So my grandma's friend said, "敗加火". Hahaha...it sounds like July 4th. The man said "Congrats you are now an American citizen"

Derek's joke: Back then when it was WWII the Philippines were invaded by the Japanese Military causing chaos but there was a general that help the Filipinos. His name was General Douglas MacArthur. So MacArthur said to the people of Philippines, "No matter what ethnicity you are you can immigrant to United States". Apparently, there were Chinese living in the Philippines. So the Chinese proceeded to answer the question to gain citizenship. So the asked, "Who was the general that saved the Philippines?" The Chinese thought for a moment. The person next to him in line sneezed. The Chinese states to the person that sneezed, "大吉利是". Hahaha...sounds like Douglas. The man said "Congrats you are now an American citizen"
